Prior to submitting proposal the College Dean is responsible for--
Discussing the project and budget with faculty member when an internal approval form is submitted to determine that
Project aligns with college and university goals and strategies
Budget is relevant and cost-effective
Reviewing and signing
Grant Proposal Internal Approval Form
and forwarding it to VP of Academic Affairs if project is over $10,000.
If interdisciplinary project, all deans must sign
If under $10,000 but obligates the University for cost-sharing or matching, VP must sign
Reviewing completed proposal (time permitting)
