Interactive Whiteboards

Touch sensitive devices are becoming a common technology and have made their way into UF classrooms. These interactive whiteboards bring the ability to interact with the computer, without a physical mouse or keyboard, and allow annotating over the displayed screen. In this session we will explore the different types of interactive whiteboards on campus, what makes them different as well as a demonstration with the Center for Teaching Excellence's Polyvision Board.

Zotero

Do you need help documenting your sources in scholarly articles? Learn how to cite, store notes on sources, and compose bibliographies at the click of the button using a free online software called Zotero. You can also change your documentation in an essay from APA to Chicago (or between any two styles) at the click of a button!

Diigo

Diigo is an online tool that allow you to annotate and save links to the Diigo webpage. This tool is great for faculty, staff or students who are doing online research and are in the need of highlighting, bookmarking, sharing and taking notes on web-based resources.

Mendeley
Mendeley is a free tool that takes web research to the next level.  Mendeley uses journal databases (such as Academic Search Complete & JSTOR) among many other resources, to pull PDF articles of your research with full citations that import directly into Microsoft Word.  We will also discuss how Mendeley can help you collect, organize and take notes with your online research.
