Blackboard: Basics
Learn how to navigate through the Blackboard system, upload Word, Excel and PowerPoint presentations. You will also learn about the menu settings, how to alter content areas, control panel options and how to post an announcement in your course.

Blackboard: Discussion Board, Blogs & Journals
In this workshop we will discuss how to create and effectively use the Discussion Board, Blog and Journaling functions within Blackboard 9.0.   We will provide demonstrations, examples and have discussions of the many ways these tools can be used for collaboration and instruction within classroom settings. 

Blackboard: ePortfolios
In this workshop we will teach participants how to use the ePortfolio tool within Blackboard. We will provide instruction and resources on how to effectively use this tool in the classroom.

Blackboard: Grade Center
Learn how to use the Grade Center in Blackboard. In this session participants will learn how to add, change and modify items, export to a spreadsheet, and use course features that automate the use of grading. We also will discuss other functions such as emailing students, grade history and the report generation function.

Blackboard: Managing Class Groups
With the adoption of Blackboard 9, we have seen many changes to the tools within online courses. The use of groups in an online course has changed dramatically within the latest version of Blackboard. In this session we will discuss how you can manage groups in your online course with the improved Groups Page and the Assignment feature.

Blackboard: Multimedia Tools
Learn about available online multimedia resources and how to utilize them for teaching classes within Blackboard.

Blackboard: Online Testing
Learn how to build and deploy online tests and quizzes through Blackboard 9.0. We will also discuss how to develop question pools, to provide randomized test to your students as well as, the functionalities within the Test Manager.

Blackboard: Respondus
Respondus is a test building software which assists users in developing test for online deployment through Blackboard.  The key features of Respndus include, importing of Microsoft Word files and quick publishing to your courses. In this workshop, learn how to obtain the Respondus software as well as, create, manage, and upload test to your Blackboard courses.

Blackboard: SafeAssign
SafeAssign provides a tool for detecting student plagiarism. Participants will learn to set up an assignment area for students to submit work. They will learn to view and manage submitted assignments and provide feedback to students.

Blackboard Work Session

The purpose of this session is to provide a time and place for you to come and work on Blackboard. This is a good time to come and try new things within Blackboard or just work on your Blackboard course with assistance close at hand.
