SEED Conference 2009
The SEED 2009 Conference is a wonderful opportunity for professionals to collaborate, explore and share ideas on centers that support innovative teaching and scholarship. We have received an excellent response to our call for papers from a wide variety of institutions, and we are eager to hear the presentations on May 7-8, 2009. View the preliminary program schedule under Program Schedule in the left navigation bar.
We are very excited to announce our keynote speaker will be Dr. Cynthia Selfe from The Ohio State University. This is guaranteed to be a stimulating and useful session as Dr. Selfe will describe the digital literacies our incoming students have come to expect, and how instructors and support staff can meet these needs.
We are also excited to announce that we will be offering both on-site and online registration for the conference. We are partnering with Elluminate to provide the conference over the web for those individuals who are not able to attend in person. Click on the Registration link in the left navigation bar for more information.
To date, the following organizations will be presenting during the conference:
For our second biennial conference, we hope to provide a “snapshot” of the overlapping boundaries of faculty support centers on campuses. While some campuses have a separate Center for Teaching Excellence (CTE) and a Teaching, Learning, and Technology Center (TLTC), others have a hybrid model that supports not only teaching and learning with technology efforts by faculty and students, but also faculty scholarship, grant writing, and tenure and promotion dossier assistance.
