Text and note markings
To identify important material and information still to be learned by using a variety of markings: underlining, double underlining, circling, enumerating, starring, question-in-the-margin
Provides a strategy for more efficient review later on. Forces you to become a more active learner
Charts, maps or diagrams in texts and handouts
To condense or clarify information
Recreate charts, or use blank maps or diagrams to complete
