Study Abroad
To study abroad is to experience different countries, cultures, languages, food and ways of life in the greater world. From Mayan pyramids in Mexico to the Egyptian Pyramids, from wall paintings in India to the Great Wall of China, you can visit any place in the world to study, teach, volunteer, intern or simply travel.
Why study abroad? College is the best time to study abroad because there are hundreds of programs in many countries all over the world that you can choose from. You can pick your favorite destination(s) to study aboard, intern abroad, volunteer abroad, or cultural immension programs which you can apply toward your degree. You can also use this short experience to find out if international career is right for you.
Through your experience abroad, you show flexibility, curiosity, adaptively and pro-activity. It makes you marketable, heightens your sense of international social, political and economic issues, and increases your intercultural communication skills. You can understand the practices and perspectives of different cultures and think critically about your own.
