Research
During the spring semester of your fifth year, you will work with a pharmacy professor to complete a final research project (Course PHAR 590 Pharmacy Research). Although you will not be formally enrolled in this course until the spring, you should expect to begin your research at the start of your fifth year. A helpful approach to this project is to find a topic that supports your career choice or interests.
At the end of the year, you and your professor will present the results of your project at various locations, depending on the nature of your project. The projects will be judged, and a select few will be presented at an appropriate national meeting.
Most students will find that this project will be the highlight of their education. The lessons and techniques learned during this process will help you throughout your entire career.
