College of Sciences
Offering some of the most innovative and diverse academic programs found at The University of Findlay, the College of Sciences is home to nationally and internationally known equestrian and pre-veterinary medicine programs, and an ABET accredited environmental, safety and occupational health management degree program. Supporting these majors with outstanding science and mathematics programs of their own, the departments of Natural Sciences, Physical Sciences, Computer Science and Mathematics offer Bachelor of Science degrees in Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, and Mathematics, respectively. In addition to our strong undergraduate programs, we offer a graduate level program in environmental, safety and occupational health management accredited by the Environmental Health Accreditation Council (EHAC).
Findlay provides a rich learning environment to promote student engagement. In addition to modern classrooms and laboratories, our facilities include special molecular research laboratories, a 46-acre Rieck Center for Habitat Studies, Planetarium, Nature Center, and an Environmental Resource Training Center (ERTC). Students in equestrian, animal science and pre-veterinary medicine programs gain experience from the 32-acre James L. Child Equestrian Complex (East Campus) which houses the English Equestrian Program, the 73-acre South Campus which houses the Western Equestrian Program, and the new 31,000-square foot Dr. C. Richard Beckett Animal Science Building.
All of our programs provide opportunities for students to interact with highly qualified faculty both in and outside the classroom, through undergraduate research in the field and laboratories, internships, clubs, and community services.
